“We’ve been dreaming of planning this type of event for a couple of years and although this is a small scale of black tie event, we are very proud to finally host this event with the help of a few community sponsors such as Cargo M Plus M, Bethany Miracle Center, Sky Café and AM Thyme Travel and bringing an artist all the way from Jakarta,” said Sinta Penyami, Executive and Artistic Director of Modero & Company.

Sinta is no stranger in event planning field. She serve as a Vice Chair for the Indonesian Diaspora of Greater Philadelphia and has been in the planning committee of Philadelphia Indonesian Week for the last 4 years. Sinta and Modero have also planned a couple Indonesian Culinary Festivals in South Philadelphia and have been a great success.

“This black tie event is not just an event, we want to showcase our community talent and show our appreciation. We would like to host this type of event and open it up to the public. We would love to have non-Indonesians to attend and experience our cuisine, culture and many different community members’ talents, said Sinta. “We are planning to have community members in traditional Indonesian costumes to serve the main course, while guests will also enjoy a variety of entertainment. We will eat, take pictures, dance and show our appreciation to these artists. We also have a surprise announcement that we will make. You will have to be there to know what it is!”

Tickets are $50 per person and to get the tickets or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sinta at 267.225.1076.
